Father Mbaka Clarifies His Comments On Jonathan

REV FR. MBAKA ##Clarifies Comments##

Following his widely publicised sermon on New Year’s Eve that tore President Goodluck Jonathan’s policies to pieces, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka has been recorded hitting the president hard again, and this time his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, was not spared.

Speaking in both the English and Igbo languages, Mbaka dismissed suggestions that he is a two-faced individual because he received the first lady in his ministry a few weeks before his controversial outburst.

Recall that in November 2014, Mbaka welcomed the First Lady, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and others to his Enugu parish. He told ‘Mama Peace’, as the Firstly Lady is popularly called, that her husband had “done well” and deserved another tenure at the Aso Rock.

Mbaka, reacting to the criticisms, quoted a verse in the bible and gave a biblical instance where God supported one of his prophets and later withdrew the support because of the deeds of the prophet.

He further revealed that when he met both President Jonathan and his wife, they refused his request to give him their phone numbers so he could reach them whenever he has a revelation about them on the country.

He also denied rumours that he was bribed by opposition politicians to say all he did at the New Year’s Eve service, saying, “I don’t know Buhari, I have never met him”

Mbaka’s sermon had drawn criticism from various Nigerians including his primary constituency, the Catholic Church; ex-militant Asari Dokubo, retired Catholic archbishop of Lagos Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie and the Catholic archbishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan.

DISTRACTION

DISTRACTION A distraction is anything within or round you thatprevent your concentration or diverts your attention from a particular thing or cause, within a specific fragment of time. The word “WITHIN YOU” or “AROUND YOU” simply means that a distraction can come from the things within you, or the things around you. The word “CONCENTRATION” or “ATTENTION” are the direct opposites of the word “DISTRACRION”    and distraction is antagonistic to them. The sentence “SPECIFIED FRAGMENT OF TIME” as used in the definition simply means that distraction is not a permanent phenomenon. It only comes up within a specific time, while its permanence or longevity depends on your ability or inability to conquer it. When you are set to pray at 5:00am and then there is a phone call to you at 5:05am (i.e. just b...

SHOCKER## GOLDEN EAGLET

GOLDEN EAGLET RAPE VIRGIN KIDS They are talking about it on Twitter. Apparently people are irritated with Sunday Sun for its choice of word in a headline today. Many people think the word ‘rape’ is too strong to be misused at any time. Abuja based Virgin Kids academy are like a football team. The Golden Eaglets beat them 3-1 at the NFF / FIFA goal project in Abuja. The problem causing outcry is the way Sunday Sun captioned the story. Many feel the use of ‘r*pe’ to tag the Golden Eaglets victory over ‘Virgin Kids’ is inappropriate.
