OBUH, EMETULU APPOINTED COMMISSIONERS IN DELTA   Two frontline Delta state governorship aspirants in the December 2014 PDP Delta Governorship primaries for the 2015 elections, Sir Tony Chucks Obuh and Chief Charles Emetulu, have been nominated as Commissioners to serve in the present Delta State Cabinet. Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan nominated the two former governorship aspirants in a letter conveying the names of the two nominees, addressed to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya. The letter was read on the floor of the house at the resumed plenary of the house after the adjournment for Christmas and New Year break, after which the duo of Tony Obuh, who retired as permanent Secretary, Government House, in the Delta State public service and Charles Emetulu, the immediate past commissioner for Energy, were promptly invited for screening and their appointments confirmed. Player dies of Cardiac

21 year-old player dies of Cardiac arrest after practise session Mayurish Pawar was on his way back to the room after the practice session at the stadium when he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to a nearby Private Hospital where he declared dead Tragedy struck in India with the reported death if a 21 year-old netballer who collapsed while returning to his room after a practise session. The incident occurred at the ongoing 2015 Indian National Games taking place in Kerala. Mayurish Pawar was rushed to a nearby private and was declared dead afterwards by National Games Secretariat officials. 'He was on his way back to the room after a practice session at the indoor stadium at Vellayani near here along with his other team members. He suddenly collapsed and the others rushed him to the hospital. But, doctors declared him dead,' an NGS official said.

Chinwe, a student of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, was recently arrested for allegedly staging her kidnap so as to extort money from her parents.
